I have two desktop computers and one laptop and I want to know if I can use the key and the program on more than one of my computers without additional charge.

If you are a single user of our program on several computers you may use a single license on all your computers. However please notice each key has limited number of activations, so use them wisely.

I had lost my registration key because my computer had crashed. Can you send it again?

Yes, contact our support team via contact form and specify your registration details (Full Name and email). You will receive your key as soon as possible.

Does Outlook Backup back up and restore Microsoft Exchange Server accounts?

Yes, our program backs up and restores Exchange accounts. Besides, now it supports multiple Exchange accounts starting from Outlook 2010.

How can I synchronize my notebook and desktop computer?

You should have Outlook Backup program installed on both computers. To synchronize Outlook on a desktop computer with notebook you should do backup on desktop, transfer file to notebook, and do restore on your notebook. To synchronize notebook with desktop you should do the same in reverse order.

You can also use backup on a schedule to automate the synchronization process. Choose the location for the backup file which will be accessible from both computers. Then setup the program installed on PC to backup Outlook in that location and setup the program installed on notebook to restore from that backup file.

I have 4.x version of ABF Outlook Backup. Do I need to uninstall the prior 3.x version of the program?

Since backup files created with 3.x version are not compatible with 4.x version we strongly recommend not to uninstall the prior version if you have a number of old backup files. Both programs can co-exist on one computer. But the best way is to re-create backups with new 4.x version and keep using it for further backup and restore.

Outlook Backup usage


Is it possible to back up directly to a CD-RW drive or do I have to back up to a directory and then burn the CD?

Outlook Backup has built-in CD/DVD burner so you can back up Outlook data directly to CD or DVD. But do not create any folders and sub-folders on you the CD or DVD you are burning to. Otherwise the conflict between program internal burner and Windows burner may occur. The backup file will be saved in the root of the writable media.

Does Outlook Backup backups messages in personal folders in Outlook?

Our program backs up all data files, so any custom folders are supported.

I can't get Outlook Backup to work on a schedule.

You have to be logged on to Windows to let the Windows Task Scheduler run the backup task. If you want to run a task without logging on to Windows you have to setup an additional settings for the backup task.

Windows XP

Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel and open Scheduled Tasks. Find the task you've created with ABF Outlook Backup and open it. In Task tab uncheck Run only if logged on check-box and click Apply button. Look which user is stated in Run as field, hit Set Password button, enter the user's password and click OK.

Windows Vista/7

Go to Start > Search bar, type task and tap Task Scheduler in the list. Find the task you've created with ABF Outlook Backup and double click on it. In General tab (Security options group) switch to Run whether user is logged on or not and click OK. Look which user is stated in User name field, enter the user's password and click OK.

Windows 8/8.1

Press Windows key+F to open the Search bar, choose Settings in the list and type schedule tasks. When the search results come out, tap Scheduled tasks. Find the task you've created with ABF Outlook Backup and double click on it. In General tab (Security options group) switch to Run whether user is logged on or not and click OK. Look which user is stated in User name field, enter the user's password and click OK.

Windows 10

Tap the Search button on the taskbar, type schedule in the blank box and choose Schedule tasks. Find the task you've created with ABF Outlook Backup and double click on it. In General tab (Security options group) switch to Run whether user is logged on or not and click OK. Look which user is stated in User name field, enter the user's password and click OK.

Why I need to register Outlook Backup?

Outlook Backup program is distributed on a Try Before You Buy basis. You can download and evaluate the program absolutely free. The evaluation version will only work for 30 days. It will allow you to restore Outlook data files only.

The trial version of Outlook Backup will work for 30 days after the first install and allows you restore the Data Files only.

How do I purchase full version of Outlook Backup?

What is the status of my order? I have not yet received my registration code.

You should have got the registration key on the last step of the ordering process. Also, you should have got an email with the registration key inside. If you have neither got the key during ordering process nor the registration email please contact us using the contact form. We will try to solve the problem as soon as possible.

How to register my copy of Outlook Backup?

To register Outlook Backup you must purchase a registration key. See the order page for more details. After ordering process is completed you will receive a registration email with Outlook Backup registration key inside. Copy the key (Ctrl+C), run the program, paste (Ctrl+V) the key into Registration key field and click Next - program activation step will occur. Ensure you are connected to the Internet and click Activate button. Wait till the program connects to our server and activates your key. Once activation is finished your copy of Outlook Backup becomes registered.

Why I need to activate Outlook Backup?

Outlook Backup activation is made to limit the use of our product only to those users who have acquired a registration key legitimately. Activation is a part of program registration process. It means that simply entering the registration key is not enough to register the program. Only activated copy of Outlook Backup unlocks full functionality of our software.
